On March 24, 2021, at the request of the McDonald-Laurier Institute of Canada, the Embassy of Mongolia in Canada hosted a virtual meeting with the Institute for Strategic Studies and McDonald-Laurier Institute.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the ISS, Z. Boldbaatar, Ambassador Ya. Ariunbold and Mr. Brian Lee, the Director of the McDonald-Laurier Institute, and Mr. Jonathan Miller, senior fellow at the McDonald-Laurier Institute. Moreover, Dr. B. Otgonsuren, Z Bolor, S. Chandmani and Counselor of the Embassy in Canada Z. Battushig participated in the meeting. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the international geopolitical situation and Mongolia-Canada relations. Meanwhile, senior fellow Jonathan Miller delivered a brief speech on Canada’s role in the Indo-Pacific strategy and participants noted that there were many opportunities for cooperation areas between both the countries and the institutes.
