The 14th Mongolia-UK Roundtable Meeting was held on 12 May in Ulaanbaatar. The Mongolian delegation was headed by Mr. L.Enkh-Amgalan, Minister of Education and Science while the delegation of the United Kingdom was headed Rt Hon Amanda Milling, Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, revitalizing economic cooperation in post-pandemic period, especially in the fields of trade, investment, education, energy, road, transport, construction, and urban development, and agreed to issue a joint press release for the 14th Roundtable Meeting.
Ministers welcomed the inclusion of Mongolia in the UK’s ‘Enhanced Framework Trade Preference Arrangements from January 1, 2021, and expressed their intention to engage actively to facilitate bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
