On October 19, the institute launched its first “Virtual Room Talk” to provide an academic platform for Mongolian scholars to engage with foreign scholars. The first guest was Jonathan Miller, Senior Fellow at the Macdonald Laurier Institute of Canada. He shared his views on Free and Open Indo Pacific (FOIP) strategy and its implications for Canada and the region. The most interesting question, according to many participants, remains to be how the FOIP or QUAD dynamics would impact foreign policies of small states like Mongolia.
