At the invitation of Chairman of the State Great Khural Zandanshatar Gombojav, the President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Xaysomphone Phomvihane visited in Mongolia for an Official Visit on September 7-10, 2023.
The President of the National Assembly of Laos is visited an Official Visit to Mongolia after 11 years. As part of the Official Visit, the Chairman of the State Great Khural G. Zandanshatar hold official talks with the President of the National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane and the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will received Mr. Xaysomphone Phomvihane.
The two sides discussed and exchanged views on ways to expand friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries, particularly inter-parliamentary cooperation, and issues of mutual interest in the international and regional arenas.
The Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav and the President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Xaysomphone Phomvihane signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Great Khural of Mongolia and the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation is significant as it consolidates the legal grounding of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and facilitates favorable conditions for further expansion and development of cooperation.
