The “Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security” was successfully held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on June 5–6, 2025. Now marking its tenth edition, the international conference brought together 64 scholars and researchers from over 20 countries, as well as more than 70 diplomatic representatives from 38 nations. Participants engaged in constructive discussions on key issues concerning both regional and international security. A notable feature of this year’s dialogue was its focus on exploring avenues for joint action to address the impacts of climate change, including the development of mechanisms to connect Northeast and Central Asia through sustained dialogue. The potential for expanding regional cooperation in the field of energy was also a central theme. Through these discussions, the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue reaffirmed its role as a platform for fostering trust and understanding in the region and highlighted its potential to evolve into a permanent multilateral mechanism that links Northeast and Central Asia in pursuit of lasting peace and cooperation.
