The ” Attache hour” meeting, which is traditionally conducted by the Institute for Strategic Studies, was held on November 8, 2023. Defense Attache of the Japanese Embassy in Mongolia, LTC Yohei Iriki, was invited as a guest for the meeting. LTC Yohei Iriki introduced Japan’s newly released Defense White Paper, the country’s defense policy, regional security environment assessment, and the modernization of the Armed Forces. The meeting continued with an open discussion between the guest and staff of the ISS.
