The Ministry of Foreign affairs organized10th Consultation Meeting of Honorary Consuls of Mongolia Abroad on September 7-8, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar. 46 Honorary Consuls assigned to 33 countries participated in the meeting. Honorary consuls have a tradition of discussing specific issues at their consultation meetings, and this year’s meeting was held under the theme of “New Revival Policy”.
The officials from the Ministry of Economy and Development, Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of Electronic Development and Communications and the Accelerator Center for New Revival Policy are attended the meeting to discuss with the honorary consuls. In the framework of “New revival policy”, officials gave information about the work and measures taken by his organization and answered the questions of the Honorary Consuls.
The Mongolian Business Council also organized a business meeting for Honorary Consuls to discuss the business environment and investment opportunities in Mongolia. Mongolia appointed its first Honorary Consul abroad in 1992, and currently 75 Mongolian Honorary Consuls are working in 49 foreign countries.
