More than 200 Chinese investors attending the forum, initiated by the Mongolian Youth Association and jointly organized by the Mongolia-China Youth Trade and Economic Cooperation Association. More than 200 enterprises and more than 250 entrepreneurs from Mongolia interested in attracting investment are participating. Chinese entrepreneurs interesting to invest in banking, agriculture, mining, construction, environment, and renewable energy sectors at the forum. The forum itself a largest business event organized in the past 10 years, since the visit of The Premier minister of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao in 2010.
China is the leading investor of Mongolia, has invested 5.4 billion US dollars so far. Trade turnover between the two countries was 41.2 million US dollars in 1990 and reached 11 billion US dollars last year. During President U. Khurelsukh’s visit to China in November 2022, the heads of state of the two countries agreed at the highest level to increase trade turnover to 20 billion US dollars in the near future.
