In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, a discussion titled “BETTER TOGETHER: 80 YEARS AND BEYOND FOR PEACE, DEVELOPMENT, AND HUMAN RIGHTS” was jointly organized on October 20, 2025, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, and the Institute for Strategic Studies. The discussion highlighted not only the achievements of the United Nations in promoting global peace, development, and human rights over the past eight decades but also emphasized Mongolia’s steadfast participation and contributions to these efforts. Participants exchanged views on Mongolia’s role in multilateral cooperation, the tangible benefits derived from its UN membership, and the current level of Mongolia–UN relations and collaboration. Furthermore, participants exchanged views and discussed ways to strengthen UN’s strategic engagement in supporting Mongolia’s national development priorities and future directions.
